A rhodolite garnet with beautiful fire.
Rhodolite garnets are a rose-pink to reddish-purple pyrope-almandine garnet. They have a hardness of 7.0-7.5 on the Mohs scale, making them excellent gemstones for jewelry.
Garnets consist of a group of closely related materials that come in colors from dark reddish-purple to minty green. Garnets are January’s birth stone.
This garnet comes from Tanzania, part of the “Mozambique belt,” a band in the Earth’s crust that runs from Antarctica through East Africa.

Clarity Grading
Clarity is based on inclusions visible to the naked eye. Sometimes we will note if there are inclusions visible with a 10x loupe or microscope. Note, our macro photographs will sometimes show inclusions that aren't detectable with the naked eye
